Background
Lisa earned her Master of Education from Bridgewater State University in 2003. She holds a Massachusetts elementary teacher certification (2003), Masters in Counselor Education (2011) and a Massachusetts school adjustment counselor certification (2011), working with children with learning differences and IEPs.
She has been in practice for fifteen years working specifically with children 5+ (with parents or caregivers), teens, families, couples, and individuals in outpatient and online settings.
My approach is unique in that it involves individual self exploration, discovery rather than diagnosis and rigid treatment plans. My focus on overall wellbeing and improved mental health functioning. My work is based on relationship building which always begins with the client's relationship with self.
Lisa draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness-based practices, person-centered work, family systems, structural family therapy, and trauma-focused approaches. Each client gets the modalities that fit their goals - no fixed protocol.

Who Lisa works with
Adults, couples, families, teens, preteens, and children age 5 and up with caregivers or parents. Work with children and teens always includes a family component. Work with couples begins with each partner individually, then moves into shared sessions.
Specialties
Lisa works with trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, family conflict, life transitions, parenting, grief and school issues including academic and behavioral.
